At Willows Healthcare, our Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) are dedicated professionals who play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. They work under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals, ensuring that every patient receives the attention and support they need.
- Personal Care - Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Medical Assistance - Monitoring and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Environmental Maintenance - Keeping patient areas clean, safe, and comfortable.
- Patient Education - Providing information and support to patients and their families about health and wellness practices.
All of our Healthcare Assistant staff must have the following skills and qualities
- Compassionate and Empathetic - Our HCAs have a genuine desire to help and care for others.
- Effective Communicators - They communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Team-Oriented - They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible.
- Detail-Oriented - They are vigilant in observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions.
Training
Our HCAs all have experience within healthcare settings, their training is regularly checked to ensure they are compliant. Refresher training is given for any certificates that are due to expire.
Work Environment
Our HCAs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and community care environments. They are essential in ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care and support.
